  • Days 5-7: flaking begins for microblading, some scabbing may begin for ombre. DO NOT PICK.

  • Days 8-14: brows may seem excessively light. it takes time for the dead skin to clear and for pigment to show. keeping them lightly moisturized helps.

ANNUAL REFRESH APPOINTMENT

  • appointments between 4 and 24 months post last appointment are considered a "Refresh."

  • any appointment past 24 months are considered "Initial" appointments at full price.

  • brings faded brows back to life!

BROW APPEARANCE WITH TIME

  • it is important to understand that a cosmetic tattoo will not replace the look of makeup, altogether. the aim of cosmetic tattooing is to enhance your features, make your beauty routine shorter, and in some ways, make brow and lip product optional. this is especially useful if you struggle to get the shape right, on your own, or you work and play in a way that does not allow for makeup to stay put, ie: yoga, camping, gym, swimming, etc.

  • with time, pigment lightens and often appears cooler, in color (grey undertone). this is expected, and is addressed at the "Refresh" appointmen

  • if you have oily, skin, with pink undertones, your pigment will fade faster and becomes cooler/greyer, more readily. Clients with skin like this need very warm-colored pigment to counter-act this phenomenon. Be prepared to leave with warmer brows when they are fresh. They will become more neutral as the heal.

  • everyone's skin is different, including its age, elasticity, ability to heal, vascularity, melanin levels, lifestyle, uv exposure, active ingredients, etc. It is absolutely impossible to predict how all pigment will react in every client's skin. sometimes this leads to uneven pigment saturation or over-saturation, etc. usually, though, pigment fades nicely over time. It is  suggested to wait at least 18 months between appointments to retain the health of your skin and prevent over-saturation. it gives your brows time to heal and fade.

  • it is likely that over time, the pigment from repeated microblading blurs and hairstrokes are less visible. the natural progression is to switch to a combo brow or to add some sort of machine shading to blend everything beautifully.

  • cosmetic tattooing is an art form and hand-made, and thus, is inherently imperfect. every effort is made to be symmetrical and immaculate as possible, but your artist is only human and the canvas . please have realistic expectations

  • if, over time and repeated work, your brows are too saturated with pigment to color boost, OR  you are unsatisfied with your previous artists work, are requesting corrective work, and the pigment is too dark to cover, you may want to consider laser lightening with a PICO laser. this laser does not harm your brow hair, it only targets certain color wavelengths. it will lighten the brows enough to cover old pmu.
